Jason Manford Comedian, writer and tv presenter

The rest of 2009

Hi everyone,

I've not had chance to do a new blog lately, not had time and not had anything funny to say (not that it's stopped me before of course). I just wanted to let you know what I'm upto for the rest of the year, regarding live dates and telly, so you can come see me if you like.

The biggest thing I suppose this year is that I'm recording my first Live DVD in Manchester in September, it'll be out in November, but you can pre-order it here http://tinyurl.com/dmxng3 or http://tinyurl.com/c3h2oj.

I'm on telly quite a bit over the summer, '8 Out of 10 Cats' is back 5th June for 8 weeks with myself Jimmy and Sean of course. Looking forward to that.

At some point over the summer I'll be starting a new quiz show on BBC1 called 'As Seen on TV' With Steve Jones presenting and Fern Britton as the other team captain. There's a chance that it could be on the same night as 8/10 cats for a couple of weeks, so you'll have to turn over and watch me again (if you can stand it). It's more of a quiz show than 8 Out of 10 Cats, think A Question of Sport meets Telly Addicts!

I'm doing a 10 years of Big Brother type show for Channel 4 at some point as well, just a one off, but they're always good fun and bonkers!

For tickets for these shows go to http://www.sroaudiences.com/.

And the other big news is that 'Walk on the Wild Side' has been commissioned for BBC 1 and will go out on a Saturday teatime in July, for a little look at what it's about see this clip, http://tinyurl.com/c9wl5b.

I've also recently filmed an episode of 'Would I Lie to You/ for BBC 1 and also headlined 'Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow' for the same channel, so by about August you'll be sick of the sight of me!

As for live dates, well the main part of the tour in finished but I will be doing some more dates in September/October/November, but it is the same show, so if you've seen it then save your money (and just buy my DVD!). I'll get the web fella's to update the gig section soon but for now it looks a bit like this.

Please note, I am no longer doing Grassington festival, as it clashed with a filming date for 8 out of 10 cats, gutted as was looking forward to it, but luckily Michael McIntyre is gonna do it instead. Result!

Bradford Gig!!!!

Hi Jason,

I've booked my tickets for your gig at Bradford and as I'm
writing this I guess I'm too late! But just asking if it's all new material from your DVD? Which is absolutley quality by the way.

Cheers,

AJ, Leeds
